Product features
Polar FIS+ Advanced is a new plug and play interface for vehicles from VAG Group that shows some parameters and values in the MFD / FIS screen (Multi Function Display) located in your car dashboard.
The menus, messages, values and parameters are displayed in 14 languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Danish, Romanian, Polish, Czech, Slovak, Slovenian, Chinese* and Russian* (* = only in cars with white and color FIS / MFD displays).
This is the new edition that has plastic black case and KESSY Range Extended for vehicles with keyless entry and engine start.
If your car have a FIS+ screen and appears on the below list of "compatible vehicles" you will be able to add those "extra" features to your car and activate secret functions without the need of diagnosis cables and/or special software.
Using a Windows computer and the USB-A <-> miniUSB-B cable included with the package you can update the device if there are future enhancements or new functions or just want to change the device software to make it compatible with another car model or brand!
Installing device is very easy and you not need to solder or make any complex operations. Just need connect / interleave it inbetween the Gateway and the CAN-BUS connector of your car and you are done. For your convenience the only required cable is supplied with the product.
The units of the values and parameters that you choose to display into the FIS / MFD screen can be shown in °C or °F for temperatures, in km/h or mp/h for speeds, in liters or UK gallons or US gallons for volumes, bars or millibars (mb) or PSI for pressures, Lambda / AFR for Lambda probe and Nm (Newton metre) or Ft-Lbs (Foot-pounds) for torque.

How do I know my car is compatible?
Locate the 2-character code that is between parenthesis in our list of compatible vehicles, for example
8P for the "Audi A3 (
8P)", and check the characters on the 7 and 8 positions of your vehicle's VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).
If you find the same
8P code in these positions then it is compatible: WAUZZZ
8P77A021568
This same example is applicable for Seat, Audi, Volkswagen and Skoda which are the supported brands by the product.

NOTE: In these diagnosis functions, Polar Advanced FIS performs the tasks of coding the ECU with the requested function transparently for you, so if this function is not supported by your vehicle ECU, then it cannot be activated.
* = If you are unable to change the number of blinks from 3 to 4 or 5 or 10, although the configuration says its successful, when you try it and still blinks 3 times only. Then please try to change number of blinks again, and then exit to MFD configuration menu and go to SETTINGS -> LIGHTS & VISION and select FACTORY SETTINGS. In some cars, this step must be performed manually due to the car BCM unit.
** = If you see the mirror auto tilt option becomes inaccurate after few cycles and you notice the driving mirror position you configure gets messed up and remains much lower after few parking cycles, no panic because this is normal since your car has no factory fitted "OEM seats and mirrors memory pack" and therefore there is no hardware encoder to indicate the mirror position. So Polar FIS use time base to positioning the mirror. Unfortunately this is not the best mode for positioning, so this means that in some vehicles after an up and down mirror cycle it does not return to its original position. So if you note that after some up and down mirror cycles mirror goes more and more lower, you must setup a positive offset value into SETTINGS -> COMFORT -> MIRRORS -> OFFSET. If you note that the mirror goes more and more higher, the offset value must be negative.
Aditional advantages
· Its compatible with OEM and FISCON free-hands kits.
· In red FIS the menu name is customizable and you can change it to any text you desire (up to 10 characters).
· Option to switch-off the POLAR FIS Advanced in order to make it fully indetectable when you go to service center.
· It can be reactivated just by pressing and holding the OK key in the steering wheel (or windshield wipers lever) during 10 seconds.
· Automatic recognition of measurement units: temperature (ºC or ºF), speed (km/h or mph), capacity (litters or gallons US or gallons UK), ...
Operating mode
After install Polar FIS you will notice after entering into the "Telephone" menu of your FIS screen that the Polar FIS main screen will appear. Just in case that your vehicle does not have OEM Bluetooth hands free unit, this menu will be created. Due to the instruments cluster limitations, it is not possible to create a new menu entry like in Polar FIS for Red dot FIS vehicles, so in White/Colour FIS vehicles, Polar FIS will share the "Telephone" menu with the hands free OEM Bluetooth hands free unit if installed.
If you want to access to the OEM Bluetooth hands free unit menu, staying at the "Telephone" menu while displaying Polar FIS, press and hold the OK button of the multifunction steering wheel or wiper stalk until the main menu screen appears. Then scroll with Up or Down buttons, select the Bluetooth option and press OK to get the OEM Bluetooth Hands free menu. To return to Polar FIS menu, exit as normal from OEM hands free menu, and you will go back to the Polar FIS screen.
Similarly, if you make or receive a call, the original screen of the OEM Bluetooth hands free menu will be automatically displayed as was happening before installing your Polar FIS.
Customizable steering wheel keys and windshield wiper lever
The keys can be configured for do some functions when we are inside Polar FIS menu:
· Modify volume.
· Change audio track.
· Change the parameters or values displayed in the bottom line of the Polar FIS screen.
Also you can modify the keys for functions of the built-in AUDIO menu:
· Modify volume.
· Change audio track.
This useful for cars in which the multifunction steering wheel is not installed at the factory and these keys do not work.
IMPORTANT: In cars without multifunction steering wheel equipped with, the option of change audio track is not available. The functions of the steering wheel buttons are not available in all cars, because it always depends on the original factory setup of your vehicle.
